Free online Sudoku
Sudoku is a logic puzzle played on a 9×9 grid: fill every row, every column and every 3×3 box with the digits 1 to 9, each used exactly once. This version runs entirely in your browser - no account, no download, no waiting. Every puzzle is generated on your device and checked to have exactly one solution, so it can always be solved by reasoning rather than guessing.
Three difficulty levels
Easy puzzles start with around 36 given numbers and are worth 1 point, medium puzzles start with about 30 and are worth 2 points, and hard puzzles leave roughly 26 givens and are worth 3 points. Each level has its own mistake limit - three on easy, two on medium and one on hard - so the harder the puzzle, the more careful you have to be.
Built for the phone
Tap a cell and a keypad with the digits 1–9 opens right next to it, together with notes and an eraser. On larger screens the classic number pad appears under the board and the keyboard works too. The light and dark themes follow your device by default and can be switched at any time.
Your progress stays with you
The current puzzle, your pencil marks, the timer, the number of solved puzzles and your points are saved in your browser's local storage. Close the tab and come back later - the board is exactly as you left it.
