Harvest Hollow - a free farm game for your phone
Harvest Hollow is a cosy farming game that runs right in your browser, with no download and no account. Start with six plots of soil and a handful of coins, plant radishes and carrots, and grow a small field into a busy farm: tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, strawberries, corn, pumpkins, watermelons and a grape vine that fruits again and again. Every crop takes real time to grow - from 45 seconds to an hour - and keeps growing while the game is closed.
Grow, harvest, sell
Buy seeds, plant them, and tap a ripe crop to bring it into the barn. Sell it at the market, where prices move every few minutes, or keep it for a customer's order - Grandma Rose, Chef Marco and the rest of the valley pay well over the market price. Every harvest earns experience; each new level unlocks new seeds, more land, a bigger barn and new buildings.
Pests, sprays and fertiliser
Aphids, potato beetles and slugs go after the valuable crops. They stop a plant growing and, if you do nothing, eat it whole. A pest spray gets rid of them; a neem shield keeps them away until harvest. The cheapest crops - radishes and carrots - are never attacked, so a farm that is short of money can always start again from the bottom. Compost makes a crop grow faster and growth tonic makes it bear more.
Hens and bees
From level 4 you can build a chicken coop. Each fed hen lays an egg every five minutes and they take turns, so a bigger flock means eggs more often - sometimes a golden one - and beehives, from level 10, fill jars of honey on their own. Both keep working while you are away.
Don't go broke
Spend wisely. If the coin jar runs dry with nothing growing and nothing left to sell, the bank takes the farm and you start again. Your farm is saved on your device, so you can close the tab at any time and come back to it later.
